7 Best Restaurants In Bali You Will Love
1. Warung Dedalu
📍Seminyak
Ambiance & Location
If you’re in Seminyak and looking for an authentic, Indonesian-run Warung, Warung Dedalu is a great place to start your Balinese culinary journey. Here, you’ll find authentic, homemade Balinese comfort food.
Like most family-run warungs, the vibe is relaxed. It’s the kind of place you can go to after a day at the beach without changing. You can sit outdoors with a street view or find a spot inside, within the spacious dining room.

Warung Dedalu is just a 3-minute walk from the Masceti Temple and about 10 minutes from Petitenget Beach, making it central and easy to reach.
I visited during the rainy season at the end of December, so it wasn’t too crowded. However, this warung fills up quickly during the peak season.
Menu Highlights
The food here is simple and delicious: authentic Balinese dishes prepared fresh to order.
The restaurant offers a variety of options to suit all preferences, including vegetarian highlights and seafood.
The ingredients are fresh, and the food is not too spicy compared to Balinese standards.
This is the perfect spot to try classic Balinese specialties like nasi goreng, nasi campur, or chicken Satay. The friendly staff is attentive and quick, making the dining experience even more enjoyable.
Prices
This warung offers excellent value for money, especially for a place like Seminyak. The main courses cost between IDR 20K and 30K, about 2 USD. Bottled water costs less than 0.50 USD, and a beer costs just 2 USD.
Practical Information
- Address: Jl. Petitenget No.235, Kerobokan Kelod 80361 Indonesia
- Booking: You can book a table through their Instagram page: Warung Dedalu Instagram.
2. Gong Jatiluwih
📍Tabanan
Ambiance & Location
The second restaurant is for you if you’re exploring the Jatiluwih rice terraces and craving Indonesian warung vibes.
It’s at the top of the main parking area, directly in front of the Jatiluwih entrance.

The relaxed and laid-back atmosphere makes it the perfect spot for lunch before or after your visit.
The location is fantastic. The vibrant green rice terraces unfold right before you. You might even find a high table with an unobstructed view of them.
You’ll mostly encounter tourists wrapping up their terrace explorations and Indonesian families enjoying lunch.
Menu Highlights
At Gong Jatiluwih, you’ll find a mix of Indonesian and Western dishes, with plenty of vegetarian options.
I highly recommend the Indonesian buffet. It offers a variety of Indonesian specialties and locally grown vegetables. Don’t miss the Tempeh Rendang—even if you’re not vegetarian, it’s soft, tasty, and coated in a delicious sauce.
Another must-try is the chicken satay skewers, which tend to disappear quickly because they’re delicious. The food here is fresh, and according to their website, Gong Jatiluwih proudly partners with farmers to source the best local ingredients.
Prices
The food was excellent and tasty, even though it was buffet-style. I paid around 10 USD for the unlimited buffet and two water bottles.
If you don’t like the buffet, a traditional Indonesian dish costs about 6 USD. This is definitely in line with Balinese price standards, even though the spot is popular with tourists.

3. Tebasari
📍Tegallalang
Ambiance & Location
Tebasari Restaurant isn’t my top pick among the Bali restaurants I’ve visited, mainly because it feels pretty touristy and lacks authenticity.
It’s just a minute away from the famous Tegallalang rice terraces and right in front of the Pura Tirta Empul. You’ll quickly see why I say it’s touristy: all the visitors head there for lunch before or after their visits.
A large parking area in front of the restaurant makes it even busier as buses full of visitors stop.

The atmosphere is quite hectic. Servers bustle around to ensure everyone is served promptly, and live music streams from speakers throughout the restaurant.
That said, the location is stunning. You’re surrounded by nature, especially if you head down the stairs from the main dining area, where the restaurant opens to the jungle.
The servers are friendly, quick, and accommodating, but you’ll soon realize this is just the standard for Balinese hospitality.
Menu Highlights
Another reason why Tebasari is on the list is because of the food, which is tasty and well-presented.
If you can resist the temptation to order Western-style dishes like hamburgers and pizza (which I saw many people doing, much to my disappointment), the local food will amaze you.

If you’re looking for a must-try from the menu, the Ayam Panggang (grilled chicken with Balinese spices, rice, and mixed pickles) is spicy at the right point.
Try the Iga Bakar Babi (grilled marinated pork ribs with steamed rice) for something less spicy.
Prices
Here, prices follow a simple Balinese rule: if 80% of the clientele is tourists, expect prices to be about 50% higher than at local warungs for the same type of dish.
The higher price is also due to the restaurant adhering to international standards for kitchen facilities.

4. Cantina Rooftop
📍Ubud
Ambiance & Location
Cantina Rooftop in Ubud is probably the most stylish and the best restaurant I’ve visited in Bali.
The vibe is that of a chic lounge restaurant. The dining room is elegant with soft lighting, high tables, an open kitchen, and cozy sofas where people enjoy romantic evenings and tapas-style dishes.
It’s the kind of place where wearing a long dress feels right, maintaining the relaxed yet elegant atmosphere of a tropical island restaurant.
The restaurant is perched above the Campuhan Ridge and offers views of the Pura Gunung Lebah Temple.
While I didn’t get to see the stunning view myself, as I went for dinner, the photos on their website suggest it’s incredible and adds a special touch to the dining experience.
The prices are slightly higher than typical Bali standards, so you’ll mostly find expats and tourists here, with fewer locals.
Menu Highlights
Cantina Rooftop is a fantastic choice for a higher-end dining experience in Bali without breaking the bank.
They offer an 11-course tasting menu with small, shareable plates for groups. We chose this option, and it was the best decision.
The tasting menu started with a delicate dish of watermelon paired with feta. Various tapas-style dishes, including gnocchi, vegetable couscous, local seafood, well-cooked meat, and vegetarian options.
Every plate I tried was mouth-watering, making this the kind of place where you really can’t go wrong with any choice.
Prices
At Cantina Rooftop, you’ll find prices that match those of higher-end restaurants in Bali.
The 11-course tasting menu cost about 30 USD, and the main dishes, without sides, ranged from 9 to 15 USD.
The bill tends to rise with the addition of cocktails or wine. Check out the menu for a better idea of their pricing.

5. Malibu Beach Club
📍Gili Trawangan
Ambiance & Location
Malibu Beach Club is your spot if you’re in Gili Trawangan and searching for a chill-vibe beach club with cool music, high-quality food, a stunning pool, and ocean-view cabanas.
Located on the sunset side of Gili Trawangan, It’s the perfect place to have lunch under the sun or a late afternoon cocktail, feeling the ocean breeze on your skin.

I imagine it gets busy during the dry season, but if you visit in the low or shoulder season, it’s incredibly peaceful despite its allure.
Nearby, there’s a padel court for enthusiasts and some cute shops to buy last-minute souvenirs.
Menu Highlights
I’m confident that I’ve had the best foreign pizza I’ve ever eaten at Malibu Beach Club. I’m Italian, so I know what I’m talking about. It was terrific!
The sauce struck the ideal balance—not too sweet or salty—and the crust was perfectly crunchy.
I also enjoyed delicious roasted octopus legs coated in a Balinese spicy sauce, served with vegetables.

Everyone at my table was very happy with their orders, from the pasta to the tuna and roasted chicken—everything was flavorful and perfectly cooked.
The quality of the ingredients was top-notch. And, of course, if you’re in Gili Trawangan, you must try the fresh seafood!
Prices
On the menu, you’ll find appetizers, burgers, Indonesian comfort food, and more.
The priciest items are the burgers, which cost around 8 USD. You can count on high-quality meat and ingredients.
The classic Indonesian comfort dishes are all about 5 USD. Plus, if you stay for lunch, you’ll have access to the pool and beach facilities for the day.
Practical Information
- Address: Jl. Pantai Gili Trawangan, Gili Indah, Kabupaten Lombok Utara, Nusa Tenggara Barat – Indonesia

6. Pearl Beach Lounge
📍Gili Trawangan
Ambiance & Location
Pearl Beach Lounge is a beach club and restaurant on the southern side of Gili Trawangan, offering stunning views of Lombok’s northern coastline.
If you’re after that perfect tropical island vibe and a place that genuinely appreciates the island’s natural beauty and aesthetic, this is your spot.
At Pearl Beach Lounge, you can enjoy breakfast, lunch, or dinner on the white sand beach with the ocean view in front of you or dine in the spacious, wooden dining room on the second floor.
Despite being one of the popular spots on Gili T, the vibe is so relaxed and peaceful!
Menu Highlights
At Pearl Beach Lounge, every dish is a standout. I’ve tried the papaya and chicken salad, octopus salad, sandwiches, and seafood, and everything was perfect, with robust flavors.
The staff is fantastic. When it started to rain, they quickly moved us from the beach to the dining room and took care of us promptly.
Prices
Prices here are comparable to those of a high-end restaurant in Bali—they are more expensive than those of a warung, but still less than what you’d pay in Europe or the US for similar dishes.
For instance, I had a generous chicken salad, shared a big plate of hummus and bread, and split a bottle of Australian white wine with a friend, all for about 30 USD.
It would have been around 15 USD without the wine, which is excellent value considering the portion sizes.
Practical Information
- Address: Gili Trawangan, Desa Gili Indah, Kec. Pemenang, Gili Indah, Kec. Pemenang, Kabupaten Lombok Utara, Nusa Tenggara Bar. 83355, Indonesia

7. Keramas Aeropark
📍Gianyar
Ambiance & Location
The last restaurant on our list was a spontaneous find. On our way from Seminyak to Uluwatu, we spotted a massive white and red aircraft with “Singapore Airlines” on it and decided to stop.
The restaurant is an open-window room overlooking a lush rice field. Two abandoned aircraft have been reclaimed by nature as if they had crashed years ago and never been moved.

The vibe is laid-back, and you’ll often see families enjoying their meals. The open kitchen lets you watch the chefs in action. You can even explore and dine inside the aircraft.
Menu Highlights
Here, you can enjoy a selection of the most popular Indonesian-style dishes. I highly recommend the Bebek Betutu and Nasi Campur. They’re both delicious and not spicy if you’re not into heat.
You can also choose from various sandwiches and burgers if you’ve had your fill of Balinese flavors.
The dishes were simple in taste and presentation but offered good value for money.

Prices
Here, the food is excellent value for money. For my Nasi Campur and a Coke Zero, I only paid around $7.
I guess the place is considered touristy, mainly because of the aircraft, so prices are slightly higher. However, the service and quality of the food made it worth it.
Practical Information
- Address: Jl. By Pass Prof. Ida Bagus Mantra KM 28, Keramas, Gianyar – Bali
- Booking: Keramas Aeropark
